A Red Lipstick Fall:
Shifting
Slowing down
Cooling off
Letting go
Grieving – like the ocean, ebbs and flows with the tides (the seasons) whether it’s a month ago, or forty years ago, or now
Allowing things to bubble up to the surface
Creating Space for rest and resetting
Long slow walks listening to birdsong and bees buzzing
Hot Summer days turning into hot Fall days
Remembering that windy doesn’t necessarily = cold
Delight in soaking in the jacuzzi
A glass of wine with friends
A sip of vanilla earl grey tea ~ our morning cup of goodness
Accepting the natural rhythms of my body instead of fighting them
Knowing this too shall pass
Red lipstick revitalizes
Reminds me my power is always there, it’s just going fallow for now in order to reset and revitalize and rebirth
Saying goodbye and thank you to what is no longer serving me
Releasing old wounds
Understanding that just because I have worked and worked and worked to not be terrified of going to the dentist, with a new dentist and hygienist, it’s all resurfacing to be re-released and peeled back and healed

What has wearing red lipstick or doing something new and different or old-new again teach you? Want to share? I’d love to bear witness.
As always,
In love and in joy,
Shannon
