Hello My Beauty,
Please join me in a series of blogs — conversations I hope you’ll share with me — about Creativity and what it means to me and to you.
I truly do believe EVERYONE is creative. The how we are creative may be different, but the energy behind the process, the desire to pull that something from within and give it form is the same. It’s about curiosity and wonder and the drive to make beauty, to discover the why of something and the what if…
I hope you’ll do a little of your own soul searching as I do the same into what creativity means to me and why I feel so compelled to create.
Here’s some of my thoughts on Creativity from my current work in process:
Mirror Mirror ~ A Girl’s Guide to Good Enough-ness in a World Full of Fairy Tales
~Everyone Is Creative
How you think, how you solve problems, what you believe, how you express yourself…. This IS you being creative.
Creativity is the process of taking something old and making it new, the process of an idea taking form, the process of creating something from nothing just because you have a desire to do so.
Like Curiosity, Creativity is a magic potion, one that will brighten your world, give it greater depth and meaning, for it is in the Creative Process that we discover our Hearts.
Like Curiosity, Creativity expands your perspective, allows you to see the world through new eyes.
Creativity gives you the power to think outside the box, to see down as up and up as down.
Creativity gives you the freedom to create whatever you want for the sake of creating it.
By allowing yourself to express your feelings through form or thought you’re giving identity to the quiet and to the volume of what you feel.
EVERYONE is Creative.
How you solve a problem
How you see the problem perhaps as not a problem at all.
How you navigate a group of friends at a party and make everyone feel welcome
How you Love your family
How you interact with the world…
All of this IS you being Creative because you are being you and you are creation incarnate.
