Hello my Lovies and my Beauties and my Red Lipstick fans,
Happy November!
Today starts NaNoWriMo ~ National Novel Writing Month ~ where you can join hundreds of other people write a novel consisting of 50, 000 words by November 30th…. That’s about 1,700 words per day.
I took up this challenge in 2014 and am doing my own version of a reboot now in November of 2023. I haven’t officially signed up, AND yet, I DID write nearly a thousand words this morning which ends the fallow part of my season of writing.
My Red Lipstick Summer was a blast of energy and music and hot summer days and long walks on the beach. Back to school has been a Red Lipstick Fall of cooler mornings (well, at least this morning was cooler), a lunar eclipse, and just enough wind to bring in the scent and color of Fall.
Since I’m in a revisit kind of mode ~ I’m revisiting old query letters and revamping, I’m re-reading old stories I’ve written (I like the long view of reading something I wrote in 2014 and KNOWING how much I’ve grown, how much my writing has grown,) I’m going through photos and smiling at all the cumulated joy and realizing just how grateful I am to live this wondrous life of mine.
So…I decided to also reboot some of my favorite blog posts from over the last 10 years. YES, you DID hear that correctly. I’ve been writing my blog for TEN YEARS and am so very, very, very grateful for each and everyone of you.
I’ll be sharing posts from my Beautiful You days, my Dream a Bigger Dream days, and from my current Big Dreams, Messy Manuscripts, and an Author’s-Artist’s Creative Life.
And since it is the first of November, bringing back a Gratitude Attitude felt spot on.
