With school starting again for me next week ~ year seventeen at Family Partnership Charter School, and year twenty-four teaching (WOW!) ~ I thought it would be fun to keep sharing the different things I learned about myself by embracing my Red Lipstick Summer. Now, did I put on red lipstick every day? I didn’t. But what I did do was fully embrace the idea behind my Red Lipstick Summer ~ to be seen, to feel groovy in my own skin, to try new things, to try old things again… all with a beginner’s mind and a warm heart. And it worked. I feel rejuvenated. I feel like I see all of me more clearly. And I’ve grown as a soul. And to me, that’s the whole point… to love yourself all the more. Red Lipstick or no red lipstick. How did the summer go for you? I’d love to hear. Sending lots of love your way… and I remind myself that just because school is starting, that doesn’t mean my Red Lipstick Summer is over. And yours isn’t either. We’re just getting started!
